"When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dreams
No request is to extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do"

Steven and I had a really good talk last night about our dreams and stresses in our lives. Sometimes when I look at our marriage, I really do see and believe that Steven was created for me.  He is the type of person who worries of finances, the future, etc...everything that a man of the household should and does worry about.  I however, have the type of personality that I don't worry that easily.  So, our marriage is balanced out. When he starts worrying, I start dreaming and knock some sense into that boy. Just kidding.  What do you gain by worrying? Nothing.  I'm not a "worry wart" and it's so awesome to look at marriage and see where each person has their strengths and short comings and how each person balances the other person out.

However, I don't say that to mean that our marriage and life is full of worrying. Quite the opposite actually. We both firmly believe that there is no point in worrying or being anxious about the future.  It's a total waste of time to worry.  The Bible says (i'm paraphrasing), "what do you gain by worrying? Nothing...do not worry about tomorrow."  I really believe that nothing positive is gained by worrying and all it does is stress you out and doesn't allow you to enjoy the day you have been given.

Now, Steven and I have plenty to worry about, trust me. But do we? Nope.  We think about what could happen, discuss it, and move on.  We have always been really good communicators with each other and are constantly sitting down and talking about the future and what we would like to see happen and what we will do if certain circumstances arise.  I am married to a great man!

We both find ourselves trying to minimize our time around negative people and people who complain and worry a lot. Why? It's not because we don't like the people but it's because they thrust their negative attitude on life onto yours and that's not something we want.  Steven asked me yesterday, "You're not worried about what's going to happen these next few months?" My response was, "Nope, what is worrying going to gain me? Except for take away my time with you. God already knows what's going to happen so there's no use worrying about it."  To which he agreed...

I had a fun time describing last night how I'm not a worrier but instead a planner.  I love to sit around and just dream about the future.  We find ourselves doing that a lot here...maybe it's because Pforzheim is not the most ideal town so it gives us something to look forward to, haha!  We started talking about our anniversary next year. We have some great plans in the making...I'm ready for our next anniversary already!!! Haha. What we would love to do is, next January Steven has to come back for his final show/thesis show and we are hoping that I will be able to fly up the day before and go to the show with him and then we would leave the next day or so and spend our anniversary in Italy! We have both wanted to go there for a long time and it would be such a great end to the semester!!!! Talk about a romantic anniversary ;-) But, like I said...it's a dream that will hopefully turn into reality but we'll just have to see!

Sometimes ya just gotta dream because it gives you something to look forward to!

It has been such a nice and relaxing weekend.  There's been much sleeping in, eating, and spending time together going on.  It also has been a really productive weekend too.  Steven has been working his butt off trying to get the Alias part of his model finished so he can move onto rendering it.  He still has to add 3-D to it and some other stuff, and it all has to be done by Wednesday when he has his final review. Wowsers.  In two Fridays, they have their presentations at the conference center. I cannot wait to go see it all and then of course, go celebrate afterwards all of their hard work :-)  So basically, he's still got a fair amount of work to get done before his break between semesters. He'll get it done and get it done well - he always does :-).

I cannot wait until this boy is done with this program. I get so excited thinking about it.  I also am so excited to see his work at the conference center! You can rest assure I'll be the one walking around saying, "Yeah, that's my man and he is that good." Haha.  Thinking about him graduating though, just brings me so much happiness. You see, he's/we've dreamed about that day for forever.  Honestly, I can't wait to be there when he gets his diploma. I'm pretty sure they don't do a ceremony just because of the fact that that there's only like 10 people in his program and most of the guys families do not live in Germany. And, I also am a little excited that I get to be the only one there when he graduates and receives his diploma.  Not to sound selfish... its just, there aren't many things that Steven and I have gotten to accomplish together. By ourselves. And, this will be something that we will get to experience together, in another country and that just excites the both of us.  To see Steven finally reach his dream will bring me so much happiness, and him as well, haha!

Anyways, unfortunately this relaxing weekend is coming to a close. I got to try out my new crock pot for the 2nd time... we had baked potato soup for dinner. So good.  However, I think my sweet, innocent, husband was a little excited when he put the cayenne pepper in ;-) Cause whew, was that stuff hot!

Ok, I believe that's enough updates for today :-)
