Gulp, it's happening... again!

Ugh, do I hafta? Do I?! We just did this. Ya know, the whole packing and moving thing.  Except, this time, for now, it's just me moving... Steven will embark on the whole "let's pack our whole lives in 3 suitcases 50 lbs each" thing 2 1/2 months after me.

Breathe Kimberly, breathe.

Until you've moved 2 times within 8 months, overseas, don't talk... haha.

We started mock packing today because we have to see who's going to take what in the 6 suitcases we have. But, good golly do we have a lot of crap stuff.

Each suitcase has to be 50 lbs. or under. Joy. Do you want to know what trying to pack everything in 2 suitcases 50 lbs. or less looks like? It looks like this...

Pack everything you see and is in arms length in a suitcase. Sit on the suitcase. Grunt, roll around, and try to make yourself fatter, thus making the suitcase close easier, while trying to zip said suitcase.

After the almost exploding suitcase is (finally) zipped. Put, the way too heavy suitcase on the scale and weigh it.

Scream, throw things in arms reach, cry, and roll up into the fetal positon when said suitcase is 52 lbs.

Open suitcase and throw heavy things on floor.  Zip it up...again.  Weigh suitcase and scream when the suitcase is 51.3 lbs.

Scream, "You stupid suitcase, why must we have so many things?!" and pray to God that the lady/man at the airport doesn't charge you $5,890 when the suitcase is 1.3 lbs over the weight limit.

Pray, pray real hard.

Repeat everything I just said with the other suitcases that must be packed.

Yes, it's a grueling process but someone's gotta do it ;-)

Thankfully, we are shipping 1-2 boxes this week that will hopefully contain all or most of our winter clothes and thus, give us more room for other important things.

Prayer would be much appreciated this week for the preservation of our sanity while trying to figure out whose going to take what home.

one tip I just read when packing, wrap dishes and breakable things in items you are bringing with you (towels, sheets..) and stuff things wherever you can (socks stuffed into shoes..) but leave nothing empty! Just a tip. can't wait to see you soon!!
