And this makes the thunderstorm worth it:

Can ya see it? See the beautiful rainbow? It was much brighter in person and actually went past the bell tower on the far right.

By the way, the thunderstorm was the weirdest storm ever. I was sitting in the apartment and one of the windows in our living was all sunshine and the one next to it, the sky was all dark.  Pforzheim couldn't decide if it wanted a storm or not ;-) Then, for the first time since we've gotten here, I heard it. Thunder! It actually made me jump because usually it just storms and doesn't thunder so I wasn't expecting it. At all.

And, of course 5 minutes after the storm started, it was all sunshine again.

Weird weather.
