Why does everything cost so much money?! It's so annoyingly frustrating.  I decided to look up Delta's luggage policies because I know most of the airlines have increased and changed their baggage rules. And, Delta was no different. As of February of this year, they no longer allow you to have 2 free checked baggages unless you are a  Medallion member, which we are not. We both have Skymiles cards but you have to rack up quite a bit of miles to obtain the Medallion status. Frustrating fact number one.

So, going home we are both bringing 3 suitcases, 2 will be checked and the smallest one will be our carry on just we did coming here in addition to us each having 1 personal bag. However, now we will pay 55 euros/USD for our 2nd bags. Joy. We were going to buy another suitcase and have me bring an additional suitcase home however, after reading some stuff online today I realized that Delta charges 200 USD/euros for the 3rd bag, 350 USD/euros for bags 4-5, and 600 USD/euros for bags 6-10.

Ridiculous.

It is cheaper for us to ship boxes home. So, now we are going to do that. Yes, we will probably still be spending around 150 euros each for 2 boxes but hey, it's cheaper than the 200 euros.

I'm just saying...moving internationally is expensive. And, it's not like we're going to throw out all of our clothes b/c then we'll just spend a lot of money replacing them when we get home. We've already gone through them all and decided what we're not bringing home clothes and shoes wise. It's just so irritating.

And, you know what is the MOST frustrating part ever. Instead of charging you the equivalent of 55 USD or 55 euros... for example, if the set price on Delta's website is 55 euros for the 2nd suitcase, they don't have the price set equally in each currency. If that makes sense. Like it should be that you either pay $74.89  if you're in the U.S., or 55 euros if you're in Europe. But, they don't have it set that way...that whether you're traveling to or from Europe, that it's basically the same price. They have you paying more leaving Europe because 55 euros is more than $50, it actually equals $74.89. So, we're actually spending more money than if we were traveling TO Europe and had an additional bag! Ahhh!!!!
